Such an extraordinary event took place within the students of 4th grade. The Amazing Beings News was held having in mind the IB profile. Our kids were able to express their thoughts and feelings towards the importance of balancing the way we as human beings live, and the way wildlife and domestic animals depend on us to survive.
Students focused on linking our Unit of Inquiry Sharing the Planet to the possible solutions to face the illegal traffic of animals, to invite people to adopt instead of buying pets, to get involved on knowing and appreciating the ways some animals have had an active role on helping humankind to evolve and also, the way some animals make part on the ecosystems to guarantee the survival of all living things.
Our 4th graders were risk takers, they pushed themselves beyond and could carry the message we all worked through during the trimester. All the skills were handy for such an amazing outcome starting from communication going through inquiry, waving among attributes such as thinker, reflective and caring. We all were glad to acknowledge our own abilities and the power we have when we actually want to achieve a goal.
