It is a pleasure to communicate to all the New York School community that our student: MARIANA DIAZ BELTRAN, from 11D, was taking part of the forum: “Buddies without borders: Management of COVID-19 and Its Impact on Students”, organized by: Global Education Destinations (http://www.globaleducationdestinations.org), as a meaningful experience for the CAS program.
The aim of this activity was to analyze that even though this year has been very different from the others, as the world was overwhelmed by COVID-19, many students, from all over the world, got together and channeled their energy into creating solutions, capturing ideas and building friendships. In this event Mariana was representing not only our school but our country, taking an active part and participating from every proposed activity.
Also as part of the objectives of the activity, all the students wrote a document called: “How to improve mental health for teens” , where they show position and some actions to be taken to handle life in this time. The effort and hard work of all of them is remarkable. Finally it is important to mention Mariana´s commitment, and the lifelong learning she can take from now on, in her personal and professional life. Attached you will find enclosed the participation diploma.
