Caza del Tesoro Natural

En el marco de la Unidad de Indagación “Cómo nos expresamos”, vivimos una emocionante experiencia titulada “Caza del Tesoro Natural”: los estudiantes  trajeron materiales reutilizables de casa y exploraron las zonas verdes del colegio para recolectar flores, ramitas y pasto —siempre con cuidado de no dañar la naturaleza—. De regreso al salón, cada uno creó su propia obra de arte, combinando sus hallazgos naturales con los materiales reciclados; de esta manera los estudiantes comprendieron cómo el entorno puede influir en su expresión creativa. Para culminar, elaboraron una ficha técnica que incluía el nombre del artista y el título de la obra, comunicando en ella sus intenciones creativas y el significado de sus composiciones. Esta actividad promovió las Habilidades de Alfabetización, al redactar descripciones detalladas de cada obra y su mensaje. Asimismo, estimuló el Pensamiento Creativo, invitando a los alumnos a generar conceptos originales y a experimentar con texturas, colores y formas. El enfoque en la Expresión permitió explorar diferentes formatos —dibujo, collage y esculturas efímeras— para plasmar emociones y narrativas personales. La Creatividad actuó como motor, siendo el punto de partida para interpretar el mundo natural y transformar materiales cotidianos en arte con propósito. Comprendimos cómo la innovación y el respeto por el entorno pueden converger en proyectos artísticos que inspiran conciencia ecológica y reflexión estética.

Natural Treasure Hunt

Last May 7th at our school, within the framework of the Unit of Inquiry “How We Express Ourselves”, we experienced an exciting activity called “Natural Treasure Hunt”. Students brought reusable materials from home and explored the school’s green areas to collect flowers, twigs, and grass — always taking care not to harm nature.  Back in the classroom, each student created their own piece of art, combining their natural findings with recycled materials. Through this process, they reflected on how the environment can influence their creative expression. To complete the activity, they prepared a technical sheet that included the artist’s name and the title of the artwork, clearly communicating their creative intentions and the meaning behind their compositions. This activity fostered Literacy Skills by encouraging detailed written descriptions of each artwork and its message. It also promoted Creative Thinking, inviting students to generate original concepts and experiment with textures, colors, and forms. The focus on Expression allowed them to explore various formats — drawings, collages, and ephemeral sculptures — to convey emotions and personal narratives. Creativity served as the driving force, offering a starting point to interpret the natural world and transform everyday materials into meaningful works of art.  Through this experience, we understood how innovation and respect for the environment can converge in artistic projects that inspire ecological awareness and aesthetic reflection.
