El pasado 17 de enero se llevó a cabo el encuentro interdisciplinario en el marco del convenio establecido para el año 2025 entre los colegios CAFAM y Colegio Nueva York. En este contexto, los docentes del Colegio Nueva York fueron invitados a desarrollar la práctica titulada Siembra de cultivo in vitro de plantas de importancia ecológica nacional, la cual se llevó a cabo en las instalaciones del laboratorio de Biotecnología del Colegio CAFAM, único en el país. Con esta alianza, se busca que ambos colegios compartan conocimientos y fomenten el desarrollo de las habilidades científicas de los estudiantes, a través del uso de tecnología de punta como la que ofrece el Colegio CAFAM, sumado a la experiencia en trabajos de investigación profunda que, a lo largo de los años, han guiado y liderado los docentes del Colegio Nueva York. Este enfoque ha permitido que los estudiantes de dicho colegio ingresen a programas y universidades de prestigio tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.

Agreement between Colegio Nueva York and the Biotechnology Laboratory of Colegio Cafam

On January 17, an interdisciplinary meeting was held as part of the agreement established for 2025 between CAFAM and Colegio Nueva York schools. In this context, the teachers of Colegio Nueva York were invited to carry out the practice titled Sowing in vitro cultivation of plants of national ecological importance, which took place at the Biotechnology laboratory of Colegio CAFAM, the only one of its kind in the country. This alliance aims for both schools to share knowledge and contribute to the development of students’ scientific skills through the use of cutting-edge technology, such as that provided by Colegio CAFAM, combined with the experience in deep research work that has been guided and led by the teachers of Colegio Nueva York. This approach has allowed students to enter prestigious programs and universities at both the national and international levels.
