Con gran entusiasmo y mucha emotividad, el pasado miércoles 28 de abril los estudiantes de grado Quinto en compañía de sus docentes y directivos del colegio, realizaron la actividad de cierre de las unidades de indagación: “Quiénes somos y Dónde nos encontramos en el tiempo y el espacio”, llevadas a cabo durante el primer trimestre del año escolar y desarrolladas con el proyecto SOMOS DIVERSOS.
En este encuentro, los estudiantes presentaron sus álbumes que llevaron el mismo nombre, y donde cada uno de ellos hizo una recopilación de los aportes más significativos de sus familias, las características físicas e ideológicas que forman su identidad y por supuesto los valores fundamentales en su formación, haciendo un análisis de los hábitos saludables y la influencia de estos en sus vidas. La recolección de fotos y datos que evidencian su crecimiento, una historieta contando parte importante de su legado familiar vinculandola con la historia del país y la realización de un body-paint como muestra de la individualidad de cada uno de ellos.
Adicionalmente, se contó con la participación de Jeison Aristizabal, quien fue galardonado con el premio Héroe CNN en 2016 y compartió una entrevista donde nos narró brevemente su vida, desde que nació con parálisis cerebral, unas breves anécdotas y cómo ha demostrado día a día que su discapacidad no ha sido impedimento para conseguir lo que se ha propuesto. Hoy en día, a sus 37 años es comunicador social, abogado y creador de la fundación Asodisvalle (Asociación de discapacitados del Valle) donde atiende a más de 800 personas en condición de discapacidad. Su historia de vida llevó a los estudiantes a reflexionar sobre la discapacidad y cómo se debe constantemente buscar alcanzar los sueños y superar los obstáculos que se presenten, reconociendo la historia personal para actuar de acuerdo a ello. Esta historia sirvió como ejemplo de vida al forjar una identidad basada en la constancia y en valorarnos y respetarnos desde la diversidad que nos hace únicos como seres humanos.
Posteriormente, algunos estudiantes compartieron las conclusiones frente a las preguntas de indagación trabajadas y en las cuales escuchamos la influencia de los bisabuelos, abuelos, y otros familiares en la creación de identidad. Concluyeron en que el respeto a las diferencias, es la base de cualquier interacción humana. Hicieron referencia a los factores fundamentales en la creación de identidad, por mencionar algunos: el lugar de nacimiento, el significado de sus nombres o apellidos, las celebraciones que tienen en familia, y sobre todo los valores inculcados desde cada uno de sus hogares.
Para concluir, estos espacios que amalgaman la historia con el presente y hacen una proyección que transforme significativamente de manera positiva el futuro de cada uno de los niños que formaron parte de este hermoso proyecto.
MEANINGFUL CLOSURE EXPERIENCE FIFTH GRADE – WE ARE DIVERSE
With great enthusiasm and big emotions, last Wednesday April 28th, Fifth-grade students carried out the Meaningful Closure Experience of the inquiry units: Who we are and Where we are in place and time, developed during the first term of the school year and called, WE ARE DIVERSE.
In this meeting, students were able to present their albums entitled by the same name, and in which each one of the students made a compilation of the most meaningful contributions of their families, the physical and ideological characteristics that build their identity and of course, the fundamental values in their construction as human beings, making an analysis of healthy habits and their influence on their lives. The collection of photos and data that show their growth, a cartoon telling an important part of their family legacy and the realization of a body-painting were a sample of the individuality of each one of them.
In addition, there was the participation of Jeison Aristizabal, who was awarded as the CNN Hero Award in 2016 and shared an interview where he briefly narrated his life, since he was born with cerebral palsy, a few brief anecdotes and how he has shown every day that his disability has not been an impediment to achieve what he has been proposed for life. Nowadays, he is 37 years old, he is a social communicator, lawyer and creator of the Asodisvalle Foundation (Association for the Disabled of the Valley) where he has helped more than 800 people with disabilities. His life story led students to reflect on disability and how they must constantly seek to get their dreams and overcome obstacles that arise, recognizing personal history to act accordingly. This story served as an example of forging an identity based on perseverance and on valuing and respecting ourselves from the diversity that makes us unique as human beings.
Subsequently, some students shared the conclusions regarding the inquiry questions worked on and in which we listened to the influence of great-grandparents, grandparents, and other relatives in the creation of identity. They concluded that respect for differences is the basis of any human interaction. They made reference to the fundamental factors in the creation of identity, to mention a few: the place of birth, the meaning of their names or surnames, the celebrations they have as a family, and above all the values instilled from each of their homes.
We thank everyone for allowing these spaces that amalgamate history with the present and make a projection that will surely significantly transform in a positive way for the future of each of the children who were part of this beautiful project in a good way.
