EXPLORANDO MIS SENTIDOS

Como parte de la Unidad de Indagación: Cómo nos expresamos, los estudiantes de grado  primero están explorando e indagando con sus 5 sentidos. Esta semana comenzamos con el sentido del oído y de la vista. Esta actividad, basada en las teorías de John Dewey acerca del aprendizaje experiencial, estuvo conformada por 6 centros de interés, en los que los estudiantes realizaron diferentes exploraciones durante su clase. Esta actividad les permitió generar muchas preguntas como: ¿Qué pasa si no podemos ver? ¿Cómo puedo describir algo si no lo veo? ¿Qué puedo utilizar para ver cosas muy pequeñas?, preguntas que motivaron la participación activa de cada uno de los niños y niñas en estas estaciones, permitiéndoles compartir en equipo una experiencia interesante y motivadora.

EXPLORING MY SENSES

As part of the Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves, First grade students are exploring and inquiring with their 5 senses. This week, we began with the senses of hearing and sight. This activity, based on John Dewey’s theories about experiential learning, was made up of 6 centers of interest, in which the students brought to light different kinds of explorations during their class. This activity allowed them to bring  many questions such as: What happens if we cannot see? How can I describe something if I cannot see it? What can I use to see very small things? These questions inspired the active participation of each one of the children in these stations, allowing them to share an interesting and motivating experience as a team.
