Este trimestre, los estudiantes de Jardín dieron inicio a la nueva unidad de indagación: Cómo funciona el mundo. Junto a sus familias, realizaron una exploración sobre el barrio en el que viven para descubrir todo aquello que hace especial a su comunidad y comenzar a construir su propia historia.

Durante esta experiencia, recorrieron diferentes lugares, tomaron fotografías y observaron quiénes trabajan allí y qué herramientas utilizan en su día a día. Estas vivencias despertaron la curiosidad, el diálogo y el interés por conocer más sobre el entorno que los rodea.

Cada fotografía se convirtió en una oportunidad para imaginar, formular preguntas y aprender más sobre su comunidad. A partir de estas observaciones, los niños comenzaron a relacionar profesiones, espacios y experiencias que continuarán explorando a lo largo del trimestre.

Esta actividad permitió conectar los aprendizajes del colegio con su vida cotidiana, fortaleciendo la curiosidad, las habilidades de observación y el sentido de pertenencia hacia su comunidad.

Once Upon a Time in a Tiny Neighborhood

This term, our Kindergarten students began the new inquiry unit: How the World Works. Together with their families, they carried out an exploration of the neighborhood where they live to discover what makes their community special and begin building their own story.

During this experience, they visited different places, took photographs, and observed who works there and what tools they use in their daily lives. These experiences sparked curiosity, dialogue, and a growing interest in learning more about the world around them.

Each photograph became an opportunity to imagine, ask questions, and learn more about their community. Through these observations, the children began connecting professions, places, and experiences that they will continue exploring throughout the term.

This activity allowed students to connect their school learning with their everyday lives, strengthening their curiosity, observation skills, and sense of belonging within their community.
