On Wednesday, March 17th, we celebrated Saint Patrick’s day at CNY. In this opportunity, we had plenty of class activities in the classrooms that ranged from exploring the handcrafting skills of students in creating decorations related to this international celebration to finding pots of gold full of chocolate coins. We composed and analysed Irish Proverbs, we wished luck and wrote messages to our loved ones, we analysed the influence of this celebration and the Irish culture at a global scale, etc. These opportunities, far from being only joyful activities in class, are also chances to broaden the perspectives of students and make them more internationally open-minded.
