Los estudiantes de segundo grado vivieron con entusiasmo la actividad provocadora del segundo trimestre, diseñada para dar apertura a las unidades de indagación “Cómo nos organizamos” y “Dónde nos encontramos en el tiempo y en el espacio”.

La experiencia comenzó con la llegada de Vali, una viajera exploradora que apareció con una misteriosa maleta llena de sorpresas. Dentro de ella, los niños encontraron un pasaporte y una guía llamada “Find the Country That…”, con pistas y retos que los llevaron a descubrir diferentes países del mundo.

Cada estudiante creó su propio pasaporte para iniciar esta aventura y luego visitó el salón de mandarín, donde conoció aspectos importantes de China a través de una presentación interactiva. Allí aprendieron sobre su bandera, ubicación, zona horaria, animales representativos, lugares emblemáticos, costumbres y algunas de sus normas culturales.

Finalmente, cada curso escogió el país que explorará durante el trimestre. Este recorrido permitirá a los estudiantes investigar y comprender cómo viven, se organizan y se relacionan las personas en diferentes lugares del mundo.

Todo lo aprendido será compartido al finalizar la unidad en una gran “Agencia de Viajes”, donde los niños serán los protagonistas de sus descubrimientos.

A Journey Around the World Began in Second Grade

Second-grade students enthusiastically participated in the provoking activity for the second trimester, designed to launch the Units of Inquiry How We Organize Ourselves and Where We Are in Place and Time.

The experience began with the arrival of Vali, an explorer traveler who appeared carrying a mysterious suitcase full of surprises. Inside, the students found a passport and a guide called “Find the Country That…”, filled with clues and challenges that led them to discover different countries around the world.

Each student created their own passport to begin this adventure and then visited the Mandarin classroom, where they learned important facts about China through an interactive presentation. There, they explored its flag, location, time zone, representative animals, famous landmarks, customs, and some cultural norms.

Finally, each class chose the country they will explore throughout the trimester. This journey will allow students to investigate and understand how people live, organize themselves, and interact in different parts of the world.

Everything they learn will be shared at the end of the unit during a special “Travel Agency” exhibition, where the students will become the protagonists of their own discoveries.
